Cost Estimates

  • Cost for In-home Euthanasia

    $270
    This service includes our visit to your home, an evaluation by veterinarian Dr. Carolyn Etter, and tailored care for your pet’s Euthanasia. It also includes our travel up to 20 miles (one way). We will provide you with a clay paw print keepsake in honor of your pet.

    After hours: $430
    This fee includes the service described above scheduled as an evening or weekend visit.

  • Aftercare Choices

    We will respectfully transport your pet’s body for cremation services with Agape and, if you elect to have ashes returned to you, we will deliver your pet’s ashes back to your home. Please see our Aftercare page for more information about these services.

    Communal Cremation (no ashes returned to you): $110
    Private Cremation (ashes returned to you in the urn of your choice): $247

    You may also arrange aftercare services on your own, including home burial (subject to laws and regulations).

  • Location & Travel Fees

    Our veterinarian’s travel to and from your home is included with the above euthanasia fee for up to 20 miles (as driven one way) from the Green Creek Fire Station (8645 NC 9, Columbus, NC 28722).
    Additional distances over 20 miles are charged at a rate of $5 per mile. Please enquire as to whether we can provide service to your area.

  • Total Cost

    The total financial investment for your pet’s In-home Euthanasia and aftercare will be the sum of the In-home Euthanasia service cost (based on the appointment timing, $270 or $430, see above) cremation cost (if chosen, $110 or $247), additional fees for travel in excess of 20 miles, and (rarely) any additional pet factors.
